Cabo San Lucas - México

Twice daily yoga. Delicious, organic meals. Luxury accommodations. Pristine beaches. Drinks by the pool. 360 degrees of desert, mountain and ocean views. Time for you -- to actually just chill out. And all in good company.

Sun. Sips. Savasana. Uh. Yes. Please!

The Location:
Join Kelly Love and Mira Valeria for seven days/six nights of self-care, relaxation and healthy indulgence at Prana del Mar, a luxury yoga retreat center situated in the heart of where stunning desert meets ocean scape on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula. In between practices, you can relax by the pool, get a massage, check out an excursion like surfing or horseback riding, or even venture out into the surrounding area. Both Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos, home of Hotel California, are within a 30-minute drive, and one of the most fun, laid back surf spots around, Los Cerritos Beach Club, is right up the road.

The Practice:
Both senior level teachers with decades of teaching experience, your alignment-specialist guides will provide a variety of classes to both cultivate strength and foster relaxation. Each morning, guided meditation will be offered, followed by nourishing and invigorating vinyasa classes. Afternoon practices will consist of workshops to help you refine your standing poses, backbends and hip openers and build towards arm balances and inversions, followed by restorative practices, pranayama and seated meditation.

About Your Hosts:

Kelly and Mira, both longtime students of and assistants to Jason Crandell, met in 2016 over handstands. Yes, handstands. Their mutual respect for the other's hard work, attention to detail, drive to excel, appreciation of wine and rampant use of curse words quickly spawned a friendship. From that, this retreat was born.

About Kelly Love:

kelly love_1409a.jpg

Kelly’s wellness journey began over twenty years ago, teaching high energy group fitness classes. A self-driven type-A personality, Kelly spent most of her younger years with her nose in books. Outside of being a baton twirler and occasionally playing “steady quarterback” for the neighborhood pick up football game, physical exercise wasn’t something Kelly sought out to do in her spare time. Fortunately, early on in her corporate career she was exposed to a free gym membership and decided to enroll in a self-taught ACE group fitness instructor course (aka “adult book nerd”), and turned it into a part-time job as a group exercise instructor.

Kelly received her 200-hour yoga certification in 2006 and shortly thereafter completed her pilates mat and apparatus training.  Both mind-body disciplines strongly compliment the other and have been very beneficial to Kelly in understanding how our bodies were designed to move.  Most recently, Kelly completed her 500-hour certification with anatomy guru, Jason Crandell, in San Francisco.  Always a student, Kelly continues to seek out new learning opportunities and is about to embark on a second advanced training, “Yoga Medicine”, led by international instructor and author, Tiffany Cruikshank.

Having been in the fitness industry for over two decades, Kelly draws from her knowledge and experiences in teaching other disciplines to offer a well-rounded yoga practice that is educational yet playful, sweaty yet calming, exploratory yet functional. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys traveling around the globe with her husband, cooking, learning about (and tasting) wine, and spending time with family and friends.
